How to Obtain a Rental Registration Number – Step by Step
1. Go to the Official Website of Registrars of Spain

2. Select the Rental Registration Number Option
On the website, look for the section “Rental registration number” and select “Online submission.”
3. Identification as a Subscribed User
There are three forms of identification:
- Electronic certificate
- electronic ID card
- Subscribed user
We recommend the subscriber option, as without an electronic certificate, you will not be able to complete the process if you are not a subscriber.
4. Register as a New User
Click on “New user? Register here” and follow the steps to subscribe.
- Select the third option: Submit a document electronically (in this case, the application for a unique registration number).
- Fill in your personal and banking details.
- Accept the terms of use.
- Set up a username and password.
- Confirm your email address with the code you will receive.
5. Log in with your username and electronic certificate.
Once registered, access the Registrars’ website with your user and electronic certificate.
- Select the user you just created.
- Access the section on rental registration numbers and online filing.
6. Submit the document
- Select the property record.
- Select “New Presentation.”
- Document type: Private document.

7. Download and Fill Out the Application
Download the application form and fill in all the fields:
- Property registry data
- Property address
- Identification of the applicant

8. Attach the documentation.

10. Receive the Provisional Registration Number
